Our leadership team consists of seasoned experts in both the mortgage broking industry specifically as well as the finance sector more broadly. Collectively we are seasoned business strategists and implementers and bring a wealth of knowledge, a deep network, and a shared passion for empowering businesses to grow.

Tim Brown | Group CEO

Tim leads the Recludo Group and holds a Masters in Business from QUT, a Diploma in Mortgages, a Diploma in Financial Planning as well as completed a number of courses with the Australian Institution of Directors. Tim has held a number of Senior Executive Roles with GE Money, Aussie Home Loans, Suncorp and Macquarie Bank. His commitment to innovation led to the establishment of successful Home Loan joint ventures with LJ Hooker & Elders Home Loans, as well as consulting with Raine & Horne & Century 21. He was responsible for the successful merger of three tier two mortgage aggregators to form Vow Financial, the fourth largest aggregator in Australia, with $56B FUM & 1,500 mortgage brokers. Tim's commitment to driving industry growth and innovation was also evident in his Chairmanship of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia from 2014-16. Tim has previously consulted and advised on several Non-Bank Lenders and Fintech start Ups.

Ash Playsted | GM Broker Performance

Ash has been a Mortgage and Finance industry insider for over 40 years and is responsible for working closely with our National member businesses to provide the resources, support, best practice insights and overall guidance to drive accelerated business value creation for all stakeholders. Not only has Ash coached and mentored hundreds of brokers to great success, he has pretty much done it all in the Mortgage industry himself, including personally settling thousands of loans, hiring dozens of brokers, setting up large referral partnerships, and building and successfully exiting multiple award winning mortgage businesses of his own. Ash is a trained and fully credentialled CEPA™ [Certified Exit Planning Advisor] and also works with our Mortgage Broking business owners to create bespoke Succession and Exit plans that unlock full business value and connect the owner with achieving their personal and financial goals.

Tom Roche | Chief Operating Officer

Tom is an operations, results-oriented, and business focused technology executive, with over 30 years of international experience. He has operated in both scaled mature businesses and start-ups., and held Senior executive roles in APAC including with TeleTech, Cover More and Asurion. and in the UK with EDS.

Tom has extensive financial services sector experience as well as holding an MBA(Exec) from the AGSM. Tom has previously consulted to a number of industry related companies including a specialist mortgage trail book brokerage and lending entity.

Jon Corney | Group CFO

Jon, our CFO, is a commercially focused finance executive with over 25 years’ experience across a range of areas, including financial accounting and control, financial management and reporting, decision support, commercial analysis and risk and capital management. Jon worked for 10+ years at Ernst Young, prior to moving to Macquarie Bank and leading finance teams for Macquarie Mortgages and other retail banking products. He has held senior finance positions at Yellow Brick Road and consulting roles at a Fintech lender and SAAS product developer for mortgage brokers. Jon is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.
